There are thousands Russian Zhilins, but they are not related to dvorenins Zhilins of Lithuanian-Jewish origin. Zilionises(Zhilins) and other Jews were expelled from Lithuania in 1495. Lithuanian villages Zilioniai,Zilionys, and Zilinai remind it. www.ufolog.ru indicates some expelled Zilionises in Russia: Uljan Zhilionyte(1513),Bulgak Zhilin(1578),Michail Zhilenas(1703),and Evgeny Zhilionis(1746). Finally, expelled Zilionises(Zhilins) abandoned their Judaism and became Russian dvorenins, judges, etc. A part of them migrated back to Lithuania. www.litvakSIG.org indicates Lithuanian Zhilins:brothers Zhilin Movsha(1823),Teviash,Rubin and their father Nisel or Nosel, also brothers Zhilin Shmerko,Mendel,Tevel and their father Abram.
www.ancestry.com indicates their mass migration to Amerika where they live under distorted surnames. www.whitepages.com indicates 27 Zilionis homes, 99 Zelonis homes,74 Zilonis homes, 18 Zelanis homes, 13 Zilanis homes, and 7 Zielanis homes. Stanley Zielanis issued issued his biography book " A chronicle of deeds" which is available on line www.familysearch.org(catolog).
Sergey Fiodorovich Zhilin was rewarded with the estate in Kursk in 1684. His descendant Fiodor Yakovlevich Zhilin was Voronezh's governor in 1761-1763. Fiodor's descendor Ivan Yakovlevicz Zhilin (1871-1922) was Voronezh's prominent bolshevik buried at the Kremlin wall in Moscow.
Zilionis' genealogical table at www.ancientfaces.com
