<description>  Son of well-to-do family was born in 1894 in Yaroslavl&amp;#039; city.&lt;br /&gt; He had attended the Guards cadet school in Sait Petersburg before he had to flee with his 2 brothers after the October Revolution.&lt;br /&gt; One of his brothers went to Paris, another - to Madrid. Boris choose Germany, got married and had a daughter Tamara, who used to reside in north Germany.&lt;br /&gt;Karzov fluently spoke 5 languages and for this reason he was enrolled in the army. He was present at the negotiating event of  drawing a "demarcation line", which splited up Poland&amp;#039;s territory between Russia and Germany.&lt;br /&gt;At the time, when Vlasov Army have been formed, he was assigned to it as an enterpreter  and had been captured along with a rest of Cossak&amp;#039;s army, which had no chance to withstand  Russian tank&amp;#039;s attacks.&lt;br /&gt;Karzov has been taken to the coal mines of the Caucasus mountains, labour camp #518.&lt;br /&gt;In summer 1948 he has been transfered to a special camp near Smolensk, where he became very ill.&lt;br /&gt;After a release from military hospital he has been trown into NKVD prison, where they tried to extract a "confession" from him. Thereafter he was taken to the places where his army has fought in Russia and put on public display.&lt;br /&gt;According to the Red Cross information Karzov is supposedly died soon after in July 1949 in Smolensk.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;  </description>
