Dukes Zhilinskies did not extinquished as it is stated in the first article, because the duke Andrzej Zhilinsky had the son Piotr who adopted Russian "podanstvo", when Smolensk was captured by Russians in 1656. That is why Piotr is not indicated in the book "Kniaziowie litewsko-ruscy od konca XIV wieku". The family trunk(without branches) is following:
Vasil b.1370, Fedor b.1410, Semen b.1450, Vasil 1480-1528, Ivan 1520-1556, Andrzej 1562-1602, Piotr, some unknown generations, another Piotr, Ivan, Grigory, Yakov 1853-1918 Chief of General Staff, his daughter Maria Zhilinska b.1883.

According to our family legend, our Jewish ancestors were brought from Slovakian Zilina to Lithuania by crusaders by force. So our ancestors have adopted the surname Zhilin(later Zylinski,Zilenas,Zilionis) and set up their first village Zilinai in Lithuania which is mentioned in the description of crusaders ways of the 14th century. Later they set up the village and street Zilioniai in Seduva where Jewish museum is being built.

Our family legend also tells that one young Zylinski was married to some much older duchess. Very likely, she was Wiazemska from Smolensk. Their descendants Zylinski are enumerated in the book \"Kniaziowie litewsko-ruscy od konca XIV wieku\". The father of prince John Zylinski has sacrificed his 33 horsemen in the battle to liberate 6000 Jews in 1939.

What\'s more, some female Zylinska was married to some Mordas-ewicz of Mordovian origin. There descendants started using the double surname Mordasewicz-Zylinski or Mordas-Zylinski. However, much later they were using only Zylinski.
The baptized Jew Moses Mordasewicz-Zylinski was rewarded with the Bug river bridge in 1514. Mordas-Zylinski family tree is pulished on www.geni.com and www.sejm-wielki.pl. which includes Antoni b.1755,Mikalaj b.1754, and Tomasz b.1768 who can be fathers of Antanas,Mykolas,and Tomas indicated in the book \"Musu saknys\" by R.Butautas.
The general Wincenty Zylinski has built the Nedzinge church in Lithuania in 1844. His brother Waslaw was an archbishop. Their cousin Josef also was a general. However, the most prominent member of this family was the chief of Tsar\'s general staff Yakov Zhilinsky (1853-1918).
What\'s more, I heard about some negro among ancestors of Mordas. So some negro is depicted in their coat of arms Mora. Also the statue of nude negro is standing at the entrance of art gallery of Mykolas Zilinskas in Kaunas.
Many Zhilinsky,Jilinsky,Gelinsky are indicated in Jewish website www.litvakSIG.org.

My Zilionis\' family tree starts from Sergey Zhilin who was rewarded with the estate by the Tsar in 1684.
Sergey\'s grandson Fiodor Zhilin (1693-1765) was Voronezh\' governor.
Fiodor\'s grandson Aleksey Zhilin (1767-1848) was the composer and performer of romances.
Aleksey\'s son Dmitry Zhilin(my greatgreatgrandfather) was described in the story \"The prisoner of Caucasus\" by Lev Tolstoy. Lev Tolstoy also has described the count Zhilinsky in his \"War and peace\".

The fourth branch Zilenas habitated in the Asmena(Oshmeny) area. Vincas Zilenas has established Lithuanian National Museum
